“The Hawaiian Warrior” Makua’s professional career began at the age of 18 in Malden, Ma. Formerly trained by Killer Kowalski pupils Tony Roy and Rush, he took New England wrestling by storm in December 2003. He and fellow islander Ka Hoku became a tag-team known as “The Big Islanders”.
The first three years were spent traveling up and down the North East gaining as much experience as possible. During the three years spent tagging, the two earned a reputation for being the biggest and meanest duo around. Along with that reputation came the bragging rights of being a 13x tag team champions. At a combined weight of 800lbs, The Big Islanders were a force to be reckoned with, leaving a path of destruction spanning from Montreal, Canada all the way down to Nashville, Tennessee. Makua never satisfied, shot for singles success at the beginning of 2007. In March 2007 he became AWA North Atlantic TV champion, gaining his first singles title in 4 years. After winning his first singles championship, Makua’s career was put on hold.
The Hawaiian Warrior made his return to the ring in July and made it know that he was back. Now leaner and more agile, Makua is shooting for the stars. At 23, the best is yet to come.
